About Me
I completed my Master's Degree in Quantitative Economics at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in June of 2023. During my time at Cal Poly, my coursework focused primarily on Econometric Analysis, which exposed me to various fields such as Time Series Econometrics and Machine Learning Econometrics. Prior to my time at Cal Poly, I earned bachelor's degrees in both Economics and Computational Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
I am passionate about economics, data science, and forecasting, and I enjoy applying practical methods in data analysis to solve complex problems. Currently, I am a data analyst for the Contractors State License Board with aspirations of moving to SMUD or Roseville Utilities in a market analysis/forecasting capacity. I am well-versed in Python, R, and Excel, and I also have experience in SQL and Tableau. I am constantly seeking opportunities to enhance my skills in all these areas. Below is a link to my resume. On a personal note, I enjoy hiking near my hometown of Rocklin, California. As an avid football and soccer fan, I do my best to keep up with both sports and support my favorite teams: the Carolina Panthers and FC Barcelona. In addition to English, I am fluent in Persian and am actively learning German. I am also a big fan of chess and try to practice as often as I can. Thanks for taking the time to check out my webpage.
